DESCRIPTION:
If you don’t like making plans, this is the ride for you. Check out Havre’s underground city before heading west across Montana’s rolling plains. Passing just 16 miles north of Bear Paw Battlefield, historical sites will entice you to venture off the highway. Grab a bite to eat in one of many small towns along the path. With all the unique history in this area, you won’t soon forget this wide-open taste of our country’s northern border. Bountiful towns allow the freedom to ride as long as you want without having to plan too much for supplies or lodging.
DIRECTIONS:
Leaving Havre on U.S. 2 East, travel through the open plains of the North. This run doesn’t have an ending point. Roll on through the Dakotas, or stop at any point along the way. The Hi-Line is known for its open spaces and long straight-aways, dotted with small towns, each with unique and worthwhile attractions. Interact with the map for further details.
